The AAAGW 2024 Merguez Festival
A tradition adopted by the Algerian American Association of Greater Washington founders years ago and developed by the latest Board to bring the Algerian American Community together over a Merguez Sandwich with a goal that goes beyond just a sandwich. Our community members and their children create bonds and lasting memories during this event.
Algerian American Cultural Unity Day | AAAGW
Join us for the highlights of a special event presented by the Algerian American Association of Greater Washington! On June 29, 2024, we celebrated the rich cultures and independence anniversaries of Algeria (July 5th) and the United States (July 4th) at the iconic National Mall. The day was filled with vibrant performances from talented Algerian bands and singers, as well as inspiring speeches from the Algerian Ambassador to the United States, Mr. Sabri Boukadoum, and the DC Mayor's surrogate, the Director of African Affairs, Mr. Kaba Aly.
